Bruno Mars Joins The ‘Twilight’ Cast On ‘Ellen’, Performs “It Will Rain”

bruno mars ellen
After the entire way-too-good-looking Twilight cast made their chummy appearance on Ellen DeGeneres’ show this morning (we’re not even fans of the series, and yet we could watch Kristin Stewart throw candy into Taylor Lautner’s mouth all day), it was time for the laughter to fade and the tears to swell, as Bruno Mars took the stage to perform his sorrowful single, “It Will Rain”, from the Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 1 soundtrack. Watch below.

Bruno, wearing a hat and sunglasses indoors, performs his song as fog rises throughout the dimly-lit studio. Pretty morose for a morning show, no? Nevertheless, the man proves again that he’s got some killer pipes. Forget Jacob and Edward — we’re Team Bruno all the way.

Lil Wayne Shoots ‘Mirror’ Video with Bruno Mars

Lil Wayne and Bruno Mars

Lil Wayne is taking a look in the “Mirror.” The Young Money captain recently shot a video for his collaboration with Bruno Mars off the deluxe edition of his platinum-selling album Tha Carter IV.

Training Day director Antoine Fuqua helmed the clip for the reflective song, produced by REO of The Soundkillers. The latest single off C4 debuted at No. 16 on the Billboard Hot 100 following the album’s August release and is off to a great start at radio.

Bruno will premiere the delayed video for “It Will Rain,” the lead offering from the soundtrack to The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1, this month.

Bruno Mars’ ‘Breaking Dawn’ Video Delayed

‘It Will Rain’ was set to premiere Wednesday on MTV, but Mars is still working on the clip.

Bad news, Twilighters: You’re going to have to wait a little longer for the video for Bruno Mars’ “It Will Rain,” the first single from the “Breaking Dawn - Part 1” soundtrack.

Originally, the clip was set to premiere Wednesday night on MTV — with a special live-stream event to follow on MTV.com — but those plans have been put on hold for the foreseeable future because the video isn’t finished just yet.Mars himself took to Twitter on Monday (October 24) to break the news about the “Rain” delay and to beg forgiveness from all the “Twilight” fans out there.

Mars himself took to Twitter on Monday (October 24) to break the news about the “Rain” delay and to beg forgiveness from all the “Twilight” fans out there.

“Hey guys, I’m still working on the ‘It Will Rain’ video,” Mars wrote. “The MTV premiere will happen in a couple weeks. Be patient for ya boy. Love y’all.”

A spokesperson for Mars’ label, Atlantic Records, could not be reached for comment on the delay, and while the news is sure to disappoint “Twilight” folks, there is a new development that will surely help soften the blow: Even though “Rain” has been pushed back, there will still be a “Breaking Dawn” video premiering Wednesday for Christina Perri’s “A Thousand Years,” a song she told MTV News she wrote specifically for the film’s star-crossed protagonists, Bella and Edward.

So fret not, “Twilight” fans. You’ll still get your fix Wednesday, October 26, when Christina Perri’s “A Thousand Years” video premieres at 6 a.m. ET/PT on AMTV, MTV Hits and MTV.com. And as soon as we get an update on “It Will Rain,” you’ll be the first to know about it, we promise.
